Black and white pedestal bowl ‘Black Sheep’

£30.00

Starting at Rochester in September last year I have been walking the North Downs Way down to Folkestone along the coast to Dover and up to Canterbury. Concentrating on light, shade and form I have created monochrome vessels that reflect on this journey of wide open vistas, ancient woods and coastal paths scattered with remnants of WW2 fortifications.

I named this pedestal bowl Black Sheep hinting at the tuffs of wool I saw left by the sheep on the barbed wire fences along the way.

The bowl is made from white stoneware clay which has been pieced together with black slip then glazed to a high gloss.

Diameter 16cm Height 7.5cm
