Flint Lines is a large coil built pedestal bowl in white stoneware with black slip detail.
Starting at Rochester in September last year I have been walking the North Downs Way down to Folkestone along the coast to Dover and up to Canterbury. Concentrating on light, shade and form I have created monochrome vessels that reflect on this journey of wide open vistas, ancient woods and coastal paths scattered with remnants of WW2 fortifications.
Inspired by my journey along the North Downs Way, I passed the towering white chalk cliffs exposed the the elements and peppered with lines a flint.
Diameter 23.5cm Height 13.5cm
